The litter by DKUCh SUCh SVCh Inanda Mellberg Edelrood ex SVCh Rekaylahn Amber was named after Elisabeth Svendson’s family, with “of Rold” referring to Rold Skov, the Danish forest where the mating took place!

The litter by IntCh MCh Glenaffric Ulanyo of Zuritamu ex SVCh Inanda Mellberg Fleur de Cap was named after various Johannesburg suburbs, in honour of Ulyano’s birthplace.

The litter by BaltCh Noldor Majestic Sinbest ex SEVCh Inanda Mellberg Fleur de Cal was named after people and places in Alexander McCall Smith’s books about the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, based in Botswana.

The JV of Ersted litter is, like of Rold litter in 2008, named after Elisabeth Svendson’s family, and Ersted is the Danish village where Edelrood lives. JV are the initials of very dear friends of mine, whose wedding I missed because of the whelping.

The litter by IECH Walamandengie Monte-Carlo ex SEVCH Inanda Mellberg Fleur de Cap was named after various cards in a deck of cards, as well as after certain hands in various card games.

The litter by IntCh MultCh Vizara Jukati ex SEVCH Inanda Mellberg Fleur de Cap was named after champagnes, except for Shantih, a word that means “the peace that passeth all understanding”.

In 2014, I moved back to South Africa and decided to go conventional and alphabetical … and as the litter by Excalibur Bolt ex SEVCH Inanda Mellberg Shantih by Jukati was my 14th (in as many years), it is my “N” litter.
